English 3:

After RLE this was the next thing in our priority list. We had a speech choir, and the piece is called "Phonetic Labyrinth". It really was a Phonetic labyrinth, it contained so many words with confusing pronunciations. We practiced for about  2 weeks I think. Then when the day of presentation came, the dean was also there to watch us. It was a fun experience, especially when you get a 100 for the hard work.  

"Say ayer a~yer, but ever fe~ver"

We had an impromptu speech, I was one of the last persons that were called. The question was "Who do you think is the most influencial person in the 21st century" I thought for a bit," 21st century, 21st century, I don't know any famous people!!"   I panicked a little and so in the end I chose the President of the United States for my answer. Ms. San Diego said that I made a good point, and I was convincing but I had too many extra movements. Betina said the influential person that came to her mind was Oprah. Haha what a funny guy. We also had a poem/ stories/ article recitation. I picked "A Friend most True" it was a cute poem. Ms. San Diego said that she liked what I picked and it told her what my personality is. The only problem was she couldn't see my eye, my bangs covered it. The Others were great, especially Charles, hehe I was trying to stifle my laughter the whole time. Due to time constraints we didn't get to explain quotations. I was considering "Hana Yori Dango" or "Boys Dumplings over Flowers" for my quote but Lady said that it was too hard. I wanted to see my classmates' desperate attempts to explain that,but because of Lady's pleadings I changed my quote to

"He who smiles at 1 yen, will explode with laughter at 10 yen"

Whoever gives an explanation for that quote gets a cookie

Finals:

 I didn't study that well for the finals, there were too many distractions to be found at home. When I was studying for Health Care my sister decided to watch Gokusen 1. I gave in to the temptation and watch along with her. The next day, I had a hard time answering the test. So let's leave it at that and proceed to the next category.

Games:

I've downloaded various NDS games and I enjoyed playing all of it. Let's start with the first game:

Time Hollow:



Time Hollow follows the story of Ethan Kairos and the mysterious disappearance of his entire family. As Ethan searches for his family he comes across a Hollow Pen, an uncanny object with the unique power to open portals to the past. This allows Ethan to change the past in order to solve problems in the present. Through the use of this mystical pen he must follow events in the present and past to locate his missing family. It took me 2 days to finish this game plus sleep, school, and everything else in the middle. My fave character in this game is Derek Kairos, Ethan's uncle. He's hot-headed, but a nice guy, and can also be sweet (in his own way). He became Ethan's guardian when his parent's suddenly disappeared. My fave pairing in the game is derekXkori. It was very touching when Derek  had to *beep* to get things right agin.
 
Hotel Dusk: Room 215 

The game takes place in the fictional Hotel Dusk, a small, somewhat rundown hotel located in the southwestern United States near Los Angele, California during the year 1979. The game's protagonist is Kyle Hyde, a former member of the New York Police Department searching for his old partner, Brian Bradley. During his stay at the hotel, Kyle unravels a mystery shrouded in the hotel's past that may lead him to the answers he's looking for. (source: wikipedia)

This game totally rocks! I love the characters especially Kyle,He's as rude as hell and very sarcastic.  He's the kind that doesn't give a damn about a person's problems, but somehow  draws people and their problem's attention to him,  because he's also the kind that won't judge people based on their actions. In the game he acts like a wise sage who enlightens people. I like the pairing Kyle x Mila but their age gap is 14 yrs. Kyle=33, Mila =19. That makes Kyle a pedo not only the age gap, but also because of Mila's innocent personality. I don't really believe on the saying "Age doesn't matter" so this pairing  clashes with my Philosophy on love "As long as the age doesn't exceed 10yrs, then it's okay" Hmm...maybe I should modify it a bit "As long as the age doesn't exceed 15 yrs. then it's okay" I swear that's the last time that I will change my Philosophy concerning on age.

We  had an orientation about the Do's and Dont's in the community ex. Don't bring expensive gadgets (hehe, I still brought my PSP along with me, luckily it didn't get stolen) how to properly conduct the survey, the ethics concerning the survey, and the dangers in the community. I got a little scared when our Clinical Instructors told us about those dangers and I got even more scared when they told us that we were going to the community on that very day. kowaaii yo~
I had no idea that we were going to the community on that day. I thought it was going to be next week, so when they told us that, I was really surprised, but my group mates knew all about that. Hmm...I really should check the bulletin board more often ne?.

After the orientation, our C.Is gave us I think 30-45 mins. to get to the location, getting there was no biggie, but the problem was the time. I still hadn't received any vaccine, and I had to get one on that day because that's the only free time that I had. My group mates left without me, because they were so eager to get to the community,  I kinda envy Lady because her group waited for her to finish her vaccine, while mine left me behind. In order to get our vaccine Me and Lady rushed to the clinic to get my form, went to the cashier to pay for the vaccine, went to speech lab to get the vaccine but was sent back to the clinic to get our numbers, and finally returned to the speech lab for our vaccine. I didn't have time to worry about the pain I was more worried about the time. I think we consumed the 20 mins. of our allotted time 

When we got to the site our C.I. Ms.Salandanan told us something shocking. You see we had to survey the 70% of the pop. in Malibay and the in our orientation they said that that pop. was about 4,000 but then suddenly their numbers doubled. Ma'am told us that they were now 8,000! Yikes! We spent the whole afternoon searching for interviewees. I had my first failed attempt at the interview. The C.I's said that we must be tactful when conducting interviews, but it seems that yours truly wasn't listening that well.

Rominne: Ilan na po ba namatay sa pamilya? (trans.: How many members in the family have died?)
Ms.A: "!!"
Ms.B: Ui wag naman "namatay" ung gamitin na salita, "suma-kabilang buhay" na lang. Baka mabigla ung mga iba pang tatanungin niyo (trans : Ui, don't say "died", just use "went to the after life". The others might get shocked if you use "died")
Daphne: Oo nga, para ka namang hindi nakinig sa orientation (trans: She's right, it's as if you didn't listen to the orientation)
Rominne: Sorry po hindi na mau-ulit (Trans: Sorry, It won't happen again)

So basically that's what we did in that community for 4 days. it was very hard walking under the scorching sun, conducting surveys and especially dealing with difficult people.

August 30

   Last day of conducting interviews in the community, and also MatsuJun's B-day (Tanjoubi Omedetto!!). I waited for Betina and Lady's group to finish tallying their data. The other groups were already with done their data and so they went home. I wasn't feeling good I was having an asthma attack, probably due to fatigue, Waiting for them wasn't so bad since I got to rest for just for a little bit. I sat there for almost 3 hours, good thing my PSP was there to keep me company. I was listening to Arashi the whole time I sat on that chair.  At last, their group was finished with the tallying and they were free to go. I was raining hard and my folks decided to let me commute, (yada yo~ T_T) But luckily Betina was there and she offered me a free ride (yay! free ride!)  I was silent the whole ride since talking without grasping for air is really difficult at that time. I arrived at my house, tired and exhausted, I also had a high fever in that same day. It seems that MatsuJun's b-day is an unlucky day for me ne?

Sept. 1-6 : Hell Week

The easy part of RLE community is over, Now tough part is officially open. Community diagnosis,  Group Family diagnosis, and Individual diagnosis are the things that we did on that hellish week. I've experienced sleeping for only 1 hour, writing bogus data, sleep overs minus the sleep. and many more. I've also learned a new word during our RLE, Chorva!! (trans. to fabricate false data in your diagnosis)  It was really weird yet amusing using chorva  in our serious conversations.
During our group defense, I really cried when I heard the grade the stupid panelist C.I gave our group, that was the first time that I cried because of a grade. We worked really hard on that diagnosis and  we still got a 79. I would've been happy if she gave us an 80, the passing grade. Arrgh, just remebering makes my blood boil! And so In our Community diagnosis we made sure we won't be crying again. And because of our resolve we got an 88.

Haaa~y I didn't manage to keep my promise to update once a week. I was too busy with projects, Finals and other misc stuff. But Since, it's now my sembreak I'm sure I can do it this time!
 
Bea ayan nakapag-update na ako Yay!! 

Yay!! I'm finally 18 yrs. old!! Yeah!! Some of you non-Flipinos might be asking "so what?" Well, here in the Philippines it's a custom that if a girl turns 18 she turns into an adult. So we have some kind of a celebration called "Debut" (yeah I know it doesn't sound very filipino-like) because the girl will now debut in to the adult world. It usually consist of cotellion ( dance), 18 roses ( dance in which 18 guys give the debutant a rose ), 18 candles ( wishes for the debutant ), 18 treasures ( gifts w/ explanations), 18 balloons ( no idea what happens in here) and other 18 random things that I forgot to mention. The debutant also must look her best for this occassion. Enough of that introduction and on with with the actual events.

August 16 

Nothing much happened, except that my mom got extremely mad at me because she couldn't have her "beauty sleep". And I also tried to fix my blog's layout, which failed ultimately.

August 17: Waking up

I woke up at around 10 after that I took a bath, due to my fear of mom if she found out I haven't taken one yet, While inside the bath my sister, who was in my room at that time, made me guess some words pronounced in a Japanese way (Airu Rando= Ireland) That game was fun hehe Makes me wonder though, Could I still use the english pronounciation for english words in Japan or do I have to use the Japanese pronunciation? After the 1-hour long bath (I love baths, it feels refreshing) the hair dresser finally came.

August 17: Curls Perm

Ms. Lani's mom (hair dresser/ make-up artist), proceded to curl perm my hair (whaaat?  I know that perm uses chemicals, and curls doesn't, but perm sounds better than curls right? so I'm sticking with it!)I was playing with our Nintendo DS lite while Ms. Lani's mom was curling perming my hair. It was like torture! she kept on pulling my hair hard and I was wincing a lot. It was amazing that I still managed to play, inspite of being tortured.  I looked like some jamaican person or those old house wives afterwards, due to rollers being stuck to my head. After that, I ate lunch then went back to my game. 

August 17: Make-up/ Perm Torture part 2:

I was still in the middle of my game (Super Mario 64 DS) when Ms. Lani's mom annouced that I she'll put make-up on me. " Lagyan na kita ng make-up 2:00 na, mamayang 3 darating na yung mga Photographer" (translation: I'll put make-up on you, it's already 2:00, the photographers will arrive at 3 later.)" I was like "!!" I didn't know that photographers were coming, Why are they only telling me this things now? Ms. Lani's mom then applied make-up on me she made her assistant hold my head. Applying make-up was a tedious task. It took 40 mins to finish my eye make-up. My neck was killing me! I thought that it was gonna snap in two. I feel sorry for the person holding my head. I put all my weight in her hands so It must have also been hard on her. After 1 hr and 30 mins of gruelsome make-up. Ms. Lani's mom proceded to fix my hair torture me more. She remove the rollers in my head one by one in the most painful way as possible. It was mecha mecha ITAI!! When she decided to style my hair, it was only then that she realized that she was inflicting pain on my poor little head. She put something in my head (I won't tell what that thing is) and even fooled me with it! After styling, It was time for my photo shoot *groans*

August 17: Photo shoot

This was the most annoying part of the day! Those photographers were the most annoying people I've ever met! Grrr. I'm so pissed off! Now I know how MatsuJun felt when a random fangirl took a picture of him. So annoying! They have this annoying face and the poses that they made me do! Ah! SO girly! After the annoying photo shoot, Ms. Lani's mom (sorry I don't know her name) put the Tiarra that I stole from Makino Tsukushi on my head. Yeah That's right I'm the one who stole it! I should be included Domyouji clan!

August 17: Travel

We left our house at around 5:30 because my dad was so slow! My guests were already at the venue, well you know what they say  "A Queen is never late, everyone else is simply early." My best friend Veronica was bugging me in throughout the whole ride. She arrived earlier than us but she didn't want to enter yet bec. she was shy. I said "Umakyat ka na sa 3rd floor!! Seriously, baka maubusan kayo ng upuan!! (translation: Go to the 3rd floor already!! Seriously, you might run out of seats)"  After that I had another problem, My aunt won't be able to make it to my party and she was one of the 18 candles. First I texted Ate She to replace her, but l found out that she too won't be coming, she was not feeling well. I racked my brains on whom to to ask next, then I remebered Au-chan!! (Aurora Isabel Mijares). She was okay with it even on such short notice. I love you Au-chan!!

August 17: Arriving at Betty's Place

At last after 48 years, we finally arrived at Betty's Place. That's the name of the place where the party is celebrated. And No, it is not Betina's place. People actually thought that I was going to celebrate my debut at Betina's house. Why the hell would I do that? First of all, I also have a house where I could celebrate my b-day if I wanted to. Second of all, It's BETINA'S HOUSE, so I don't have a right to celebrate my debut in there it's just plain rude and it's also very shameful. My Dad would be the laughing stock among his companyeros (lawyer linggo for comrades) if that thing should happen. Common sense is not common these days,  Anyways Betty's Place is owned by my Mom's aunt Betty hence the name. Their specialty is Sansrival, which is mecha mecha Maximum Umai! (translation: Very very delicious) You should really try it! I recommend it! Betty's Place is located at the back of Sto. Domingo Church where Fernando Poe jr.'s funeral was held (the church, not the restaurant) Quezon City.

I was so nervous when I step out of the car. I had butterflies in my stomach and it also diddn't help that the annoying duo were also following me but they evaporated along the way. I asked my mom to accompany me because, the other half of the annoying duo, just before he evaporated said that there were already lot's of people upstairs. When I went up the 3rd floo,r people suddenly were staring at me. I saw my bestfriends' table, (Wow I didn't think that 3 of my best friends would gather in one table.) I think I also saw Betina's Kuya Chino staring at me. Normally, that guy wouldn't acknowledge my presence,well except when he's in a happy mood that guy would suddenly talk to me. Aah~ Hazukashi I wanted to evaporate at that moment as I felt everyone's stares. Evaporate People! I then proceeded to the 4th floor to prepare for my "official" entrance.

August 17: Start of Programme

I was in the dark and scary (well not really) 4th floor with my ever loyal sister, Regina, waiting for some cue or signal that would start the party. While waiting for some sign, Regina decided to leave mebehind. "Oi!! Where are you going?! Oi!! Don't leave me!!" I yelled, unfortunately my cries fell on deaf ears. As she was descending she suddenly slipped and fell --gracefully. Hehe If MatsuJun were to slip and fall in the stairs, I think it would have probably looked like that. The only thing that I like about MatsuJun is his graceful movements. It almost looks like art. I also like him in his DoS mode, hehe he's funny. Everything else is blah for me *is chased by MatsuJun fangirls*

They decided to start the programme at 7:00 pm. My parents escorted me down the stairs while the song "She" is played by the live band.  After that I went to my "throne" My sister led the Opening prayer, but because of her little episode in the stairs, she couldn't focus on her prayer and committed lots of mistakes. After that it's Chow Time! Itedakimasu!    


August 17: Dinner

I didn't get to enjoy the delicious dinner that much, hmmph 'cause I was busy being dragged away by the annoying duo. My Highschool classmates arrived at this time, and since they were late, tables were not available, and they had to wait for the table to be set up. Ha! serves them right for being late hehe, Just kidding. You know I was seriously touched by them. I didn't expect them to really come to my party because I didn't really talk to most of them that much. Haha I love you guys!!

August 17: Candles and Roses

We did the 18 candles first. When I first told Bea, Veronica, and Betina that they were part of the 18 candles, I specifically said that I don't want to hear "More Power", "long life", "good health" and other cliché stuff that you usually mention during a birthday, and I want message that would make me cry  buckets of tears. I didn't really cry because their messages were not sappy enough!!! Hehe I think I'm the who's at fault I don't cry at those things, I cry at things that people don't usually cry over like One Piece. Yea I'm that weird. Anyways Even though I said I didn't want to hear those said things, It still appeared but it was my relative who said those. Speaking of relatives some of them mentioned really embarassing things that I'd rather not talk about. Anyways,  Thanks for all your wishes ^_^



  

August 17: End of the Programme

 After the Dance there were some musical numbers from a bunch of people that were not supposed to sing that night. One of them even got an encore. Hmmp.Then After that my parents gave me their personal wishes which consists of Guns and Goons . After sometime, Betina and her bros. had to leave early  Betina and her Kuya Chino bid farewell to me and my Dad, while Kuya Chuck went down to ready their ride. Betina and Kuya Chino were about to leave, but Daddy pulled Kuya Chino and said something. I bet it was something embarrasing, I've asked Betina about it but her brother wouldn't tell her what it is, because it was a man-to-man talk so girls should stay out. I'm really curious at what my Dad said, I can't really ask Betina's brother, that guy doesn't really talk to me that much and my Dad is a "dame" or useless source of info, he said said that he can't remember anything. I'm dying to know what he said @_@. Putting that aside,  I learned that Bea is actually a  Kat-tun fangirl eeeeww, Bea really has a weird taste in boys, like that chinese dude who looks like a 30 year old man hmm what's his name again  Winston? Wilson? Nixon? Hamilton? Johnson? Ericson? bah who cares, anyways the thing is she said that Chinese dude looks younger than Nino-chan!!! Unbelievable!! Is she blind or something?? (Peace tayo Bea) Tsk Tsk Tsk, It seems that love really does make you blind.

Then after all the hullabaloo the programme was over and my guests started to go home. All that was left were my parent's guests and Veronica and Jenny. They kept us company until 12 or 1 and we talked about various things. She even met some of my hyper and annoying cousins. Then it was time to go home and get some shut eye.

August 18:Presents Yeah!!

I didn't want Regina to miss the fun so I waited until she got back from school. My Parents were dying to look at my presents, I Bet they were more excited than I am. Then when Regina got home, finally It's time for presents!! Yay!! What I got is mostly Bags, perfumes, Dresses, and other girly stuff. I guess they were kind of boring for me, because unlike most girls I don't have any interest in those things. There also some presents that I really appreciated especially the:

ARASHI ONE LOVE SINGLE!!!!!!

that my cousin Rovin gave me, Its fresh from Japan!!!  I was like " Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh My Gawd!! Arashi CD!!! Waaaaaaaaah!" I knew it that guy is just messing with me. There's no way an Arashi cd not be available in Japan. Hehe Everytime I prepare for school I always make it a habit to look at the CD.

The next present that made me look like an idiot was the DEATH NOTE that I've received from Kuya Louie. This time, I was like "OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! WOW!! DEATH NOTE!!"

Other presents that I liked were stamps, Bea's towels, Pajamas, Veronica's bracelet, Betina's 3/4 pants, T-shirts, and the Lacoste messenger's bag. And of course the Cash that I got.


And that sums it all up. It took me some time to finish this post and now I don't have any pending posts left to finish Yay!!!. I hope I get neat presents this Christmas. Bye!



 
 

What a day! So exhausting! We had a shooting, then Betina treated us lunch, went to Power Station, bought a new dress, then updated my LJ and uploaded a video in YouTube. Here are the Details:

Shooting:

Our call time was 8:00 and the venue was in SM Mall of Asia (MoA for short) I went to jollibee blue wave at around 6:30, and I had my breakfast in there. Since it was too early I decided to eat very slowly to consume time. Few minutes later I was done and there were still a lot of time left, So I decided to listen to some Arashi songs. Moments later it rained hard, so I was stranded in the fast food store. I think it was already 9:00 when the rain finally transformed into a drizzle. Seeing this chance, I immediately ran from Jolibee to MoA. It was fun, I haven't ran like that in ages. In the End I wasn't the last person to arrive, which is good 'cause I didn't wan't to become the last .

We decided not to wait any longer for the last person, so we moved to the next location: the Church! When we got there, that guy was running straight at us saying that he got lost, and that we look emo (most of us wore dark colors, I was one of those) Shooting was hard there were so many mistakes and takes. But we managed to finish it, so it was alright.

Hehe I sound like some busy Idol, filming a drama.  Actually what we filmed was our report about suicide. They even asked me to edit our report. T_T Mendokusai na~

Betina's Treat:

After our "shooting" we went on our seperate ways, Charles (the late guy) stayed with me, he said that he wanted to spend his time with me and Betina so I let him. Betina was going to treat us lunch for her b-day (note: her b-day was last month...I think) I bet you want to know what Charles looks like right? Well he's got Aiba's height, Sho's brain (he might be even smarter), MatsuJun's eyebrows and complexion, Nino's wit, and Ohno's hmmm...charms? Sounds like a dream boy right?A type that you'd want to marry someday right? But there's this one teensy weensy problem: he's GAY! Ah~ such a waste! But I bet we looked like a couple when we were walking together since he was holding my arm while walking. Ah no scratch that, I think I looked like his little sister, or little cousin or little something since 1. I don't look like my age I look younger (it's in my genes) 2. I'm short (5'0) and he's tall (5'10) While we were walking I was thinking 'so this is what it would looked like if Aiba-chan and I strolled together, uwaa~h I feel so small and insignificant'

When we got to Betina and the guys, he immediately dragged me to the toilets, he wanted to borrow my brush so I let him. I think the others were like "!!" After that we went to Burgoo and ate We had Shrimp and Ribs platter, Kalamares (deep fried squid), and Baked Macarooni. It was mecha mecha Umai!! We talked about various things from our professors, to Return demos, Politics, and our brothers. Charles was interested in my brother he even asked me if he was handsome, ofcourse I said No, but the others said Yes T_T. After eating, Betina paid the expensive meal the meal was 2,100 PHP we were like" woah how'd it get expensive" Later we found out that the tax wasn't included in the menu and the service charge was high. Then Charles have to leave, so we went to Power Station w/o him

Power Station:

While going to Power Station Ate She was still star strucked by Charles. She said "OMG! He has the eyebrows that I love!! Sayang, mas girl pa sya sa akin (Translation: Too bad, he's more girly than I am)" Then we started to talk about how it was a waste that Charles was gay, and how we would make him straight. His bestfriend and him look cute together, I hope Pia can set him straight. I would be happy if they got married and had kids : ).

I was super excited to go since I had a free 200 PHP load! PS had a promo for birthday celebrants. I wasted all that free load in Dance Maniax, Drum Maniax?, and Basketball. We had an Air Hockey competion Black vs. White, 3 sets White - 2 wins, Black 1 win. In short we lost, I didn't know that Red was that wimpy, well not that wimpy it's just Edong's shots were really scary. We then decided to do karaoke, I was disappointed bec. there wasn't any Arashi songs in it. What do you expect since We're in the Philippines and Arashi is not that famous in here. We only got to sing 2 songs You are the music in me- Betina/Rominne(me) and It's all coming back to me - Betina/Edong. Betina/Rominne combi is greater than Betina/Edong combi. We got 8 pts. while they got only 6pts. I was leafing through the booklet in search for some Arashi when I saw Utada Hikaru's First love I said "hmm...this could work" But I didn't have the chance to sing it, bec. Betina's brother was already there and it was time to go home. So I went with her and they were kind enough to bring me home.  Betina and her brothers are really funny, they were bickering inside the car, but still manage to made up.

Clothes Shopping

I thought my day was over I was so tired and I really wanted to sleep. I thought wrong! My mom wanted to go and buy some extra clothes for my Party. I guess sleep would just have to wait.

We went to SM Bacoor to shop for some clothes. I looked like a zombie and my Fringes were covering my eyes. My parents said that people were staring at me, but I didn't care I just want to sleep. And so I tried on 3 clothes and picked the last one. Purple with pink sash.

IMPOSSIBLE!!! IMPOSSIBLE!!! I tell you!!! There's no way that you can't find any Arashi CD especially in JAPAN!! of ALL PLACES!!! It's Impossible!!! THAT'S PREPOSTEROUS!!! I refuse to believe it!! 

Okay okay I think I've calmed down, You're confused right now I guess.  I'll explain how this foolishness happened for your convenience.

My cousin Rovin, went to Japan for a 2 week vacation. I've asked him to buy me an Arashi CD for my b-day. It was fortunate that my birthday was at the same month of his trip, or so I thought! It turned out that he couldn't find any Arashi CD in there!! WTF!!! NO WAY!! Arashi is too popular!! There's no way that An Arashi CD doesn't exist in that Stupid mall!! And here's more my grandma asked him to buy her some Nippers, and you know what? he says that he can't find any!! Yeah right?! I guess I could believe him when he said that he couldn't find any CD maybe it's Sold-out or something, but the Nippers?? No way! It's too common!
